A Manipulated Understanding

I was for years in a heretical church and today when I remember every anti-biblical teaching and I meditated and told myself, but I read the Bible! How did I let myself be fooled? The point is that in many "churches" they manipulate our understanding and we end up understanding what they want us to understand and we end up interpreting text not according to what the Bible wants to say but according to what these men and women want us to understand.

They are experts at manipulating and skilled at using emotionalism and sentimentalism to dominate the masses in a way that makes people see that they are free but in reality they are slaves, they make them feel "so loved and taken into account" that it is to them. It is impossible to accept that these men and women are heretics and only hearts mature in faith and guarded by God can confront such stratagems.

And without a doubt God is the only one who can free us from these types of people. I have seen people giving all kinds of 100% biblical arguments to these types of deceived people and it seems that it was impossible to get them out of the deception where these heretics have them.

Obviously not everyone is deceived, there are some who, as the Bible says, cannot stand sound doctrine and according to their own whims, they will look for a lot of teachers who will only teach them what they want to hear (2 Tim 4:3) And this is already It happened to many men of God from ancient times such as Jonathan Edwards and George Withfield, John Wesley among others who in the end understood that sometimes arguments are not enough when hearts are hardened or manipulated.

Therefore, even before trying to convince them of the error where they are, the first weapon is prayer, so that the Holy Spirit penetrates every armor and destroys every argument and stronghold raised against the knowledge of the truth.
