If there is a way to know a progressive/heretical church, it is by the same phrases like "Do not criticize, do not judge, the work is of the holy spirit, love..."
And all these phrases have a bit of truth, that is why they resonate and that is why it is heresy. Heresies tend to be almost truths, lies with a touch of truth that make the lie seem logical and coherent.
If we at least take the biblical quote about not judging and leave it until "Judge not that ye be not judged" and that is what we teach we have a heresy, we take out a verse or a part of a verse and join it with others and we have a wonderful teaching which everyone likes because it "sounds good" but it is heresy and those who teach it are cursed even if they are apostles and ride Ferraris and have a church larger than Lakewood, which by the way is the mother of heretical churches.
Now...let's get to the point, the same thing happens with not criticizing, they took a teaching and turned it around how they liked it and how they knew that everyone liked it and "Tadáaaa"
And let's be clear: Who likes to be criticized? At least not to me. If I keep my carnal mind and listen to sermons like that about not criticizing, most likely while they are preaching it, my flesh will shout "Amennnn" especially if I have things lying around that I know are wrong.
And that is the point, that many people like to have their sins and their mediocrities untouched and that way they are "happy" and there are also pastors who know that people don't like it when they say anything and if they say something it will be They can go. And what shepherd wants his "sheep" to go? Obviously no one. So, as I have always said, this is a relationship where both the people and the pastors win and in some cases this is well thought out by the pastors to keep people, the more people the more real, the more people I certify that God called me.
Personally in my life in the gospel and especially in these last eight years that I have been closely with ministry people that many people can accumulate without having a call or anything, only with strategies and if you keep the flesh of the people happy you keep those who have and those you have bring you more. Jesús Adrian said (he said it in the context of music) "it's all about discovering what people like and giving it to them"
And this thing about not criticizing is part of those things that people like, but the truth is that even before the name "Christians" existed, Christians have been critical. Since the era of prophets in the Old Testament, just sit for a while (or stand, I don't know) and read one of the prophets "They were both picky," then we get into the New Testament and we don't find the annoying, picky John the Baptist. And to top it off, Jesus also turns out to be a critic.
They kill the annoying critic of Jesus and the apostles remain, then the worst of all "The Apostle Paul" who I imagine those in the churches would think "Does he have nothing to do?" A current pastor would tell you "Dedicate yourself"
But as I said, every heresy has some truth and the truth is that there are people who really do not add and they seem like bitter old women, they find something bad in everything. God can come down and say "I approve of that" and they will say " Oh, but there's something wrong with that." They don't have anything in them that can say "it's good" but they live by trying to get the hang of what others do.
At least in Christian groups I have found everything! One publishes something with a thousand biblical verses well focused on its contexts, you give it the support of the history of the church and the men of God who have existed, and in my case, on certain occasions I ask men recognized as men of God that they review my publications before publishing it... But these beings read and say "I don't think so", "What you write is wrong by wesisnever, wasisnever, wasisnever"
To make matters worse, one goes to their Facebook to see if their publications demonstrate that they have credentials or marks of the gospel that give them authority to criticize and normally, at least when it has happened to me, what I found in those profiles is "Facebook test of "What famous people do you look like", "Facebook quiz on how beautiful you are" (and so on a thousand) and another ten thousand football posts... They know more about anything else than the Bible and they have less communion with God than Anton Levy but they feel empowered to criticize.
And yes, I understand that God can send us a word of correction with the most sinful man in the world (I want to fall into what many fall with me that they do not receive anything from God because I do not have a Ferrari or a house and because my Life is horrible, it is suffering - at least I pray and seek God but the majority does not care about that) The truth is that this does not mean that people without morals believe it is right to come and criticize everything.
That's why a few months ago someone asked me, what do you call credentials? I wonder about one of those who has no communion with God, who has almost no prayer times, who does not have a discipline of Bible study, who has not experienced contempt, humiliation, mistreatment, hunger or persecution for the sake of the truth (!) I do!)... has not suffered absolutely anything because of the truth! but they feel empowered to criticize, and they love it!
One of those told me "I tell you what God spoke to me and when God speaks to me I do not remain silent." And I told him "And how is God going to speak to you if what you say contradicts what the Bible says?" And inside I said: Little animal of the mountain, how is God going to speak to you if you don't even pray!?
Such people should not criticize, they have no morals. I try to accept from everyone, because I don't want to follow that bad example of my parents, that's why an old lady comes with a word and I accept it, someone from the church comes with a word or a correction and I accept it (always let it not be a heresy) But please.
And there it is. If Christians can criticize the Bible, it is full of criticism, the apostle Paul did a lot, Jesus did a lot, the prophets got tired of doing it and whoever says that we cannot criticize is a heretic who does not know the Bible or distorts it to maintain happy to the carnal and mediocre. But please buy 100 kilos before criticizing.
I forgot: I don't read comments about what I publish in Christian groups, I put the same publication on my face. Come to my face if you are interested in me reading your comment.
-Before finishing, if I have a humor face, I do make meme videos (you can support them by viewing them by entering my humor face) but you still see the marks in each one of them-
