What I'm about to write reminded me of the Flans song: "Don't control... my dresses, don't control my senses ♫ ♪ ♬."
A "pastor" of one of the most heretical churches in Venezuela: "Maranatha" (de Bertucci) said something and people have spread it through the networks as a great wonder, this man said: "You need a spiritual leader to feed you your soul, not one that controls your life.
The truth is, in 40 years of knowing the church, I have never met a controlling pastor. If I remember one December that my father (he is a pastor) said to the flock one December: "Please let me know if you are going on vacation," that statement from my father caused several people to start murmuring during the week saying: " "Now the pastor wants to control our lives."
The following Sunday my father had to clarify: "My children before God, I must be accountable for you, I ask you to let me know if you are going on vacation so I can pray for you."
The problem is that today the work of a pastor has been distorted and it is understood that a pastor is just someone he feeds and that is a total lie. A shepherd must be aware of every aspect of the sheep. And this misrepresentation of the shepherd's work only makes goats happy and forgive me if I sound offensive but it is the truth.
Obviously this is part of the modern gospel, the progressive gospel that, as the apostle Peter says in 2 Peter 2:19-21, "They promise them freedom, and they themselves are slaves to corruption. For whoever is overcome by anyone is made slave of him." He defeated him."
I remember a pastor (not my dad) who was attentive to the spiritual life of his sheep and asked them: How is your prayer life? How is your family? Have you prayed today? and these questions led some people to call him "a patriarchal pastor."
How sad, to be a good shepherd today you must let the sheep live their lives however they want and have all the mediocre spiritual lives they want to have because the work is of the holy spirit.
For some reason they are called pastors and not "facilitators." God wanted them to be called shepherds and the g king "sheep" and if we study how the shepherd behaves with his sheep we would stop repeating nonsense that only makes life cool for the goats.
God help us and that we can recognize who the true biblical pastors really are, not these charlatans.
Sorry if I sounded offensive. But with the charlatans and those who distorted the gospel, Jesus and the apostles were more severe.
