I think one of the most difficult things to accept and learn in 2023 is that anyone can be a pastor, and get people to follow them. and when I say "anyone", I mean ANYONE!
Recently I was very troubled by this and I asked God: What requirements or what characteristics or what do people look for in a person when they take them as a pastor?
It seems for most people today, the answer to those questions has nothing to do with anything biblical.
What most people look for in a pastor is that they say the things they like, that they do not correct them, that they take them into account and that they make them feel part of a family. I met a girl who left a church and went to join the most heretical ministry in my country (Christian Center for Nations CCN) because she saw how from the first time she visited that church they took her into account and made her feel part of a family and they quickly gave him leadership.
Today she is a pastor and does not even know how to pray (I do not assure this according to my own parameters but rather according to biblical parameters, there are certain biblical characteristics that every acceptable prayer must have and this is not the time to explain it, you can write to me on Facebook and I will I explain them, as I have written hundreds of times, I do not read comments on what I publish outside of my personal Facebook)
Among her arguments of the reasons why she decided to congregate there I did not find even one that was spiritual.
Someone once said, the sign that you are a pastor called by God is when people follow you. No! A THOUSAND TIMES NO! Joel Osteen, Guillermo Maldonado, Cash Luna, Javier Bertucci, Raùl Avila and stop counting; Many people follow them and they are probably more heretics and antichrists than the devil.
In eight years in the city where I am living (Which is where I have been able to discover this truth) I have seen everything! Which has made me ask: Are they idiots? I once heard a pastor from here evangelize and the least he talked about was Christ. How the hell do you evangelize without talking about Christ? However, he has his church full and his people defend him as if he were the most anointed of all the anointed.
This makes me remember a book that by the way I also read last year, which said: "Give them what they want." That was the secret that the author of the book gave to have people and keep them happy.
I have seen people follow and take all kinds of people as pastors. Thieves, Perverts, Some don't even pray or read the Bible and hundreds of other things and all of that really bothered me a lot especially because it is not out of ignorance, I met people who took as pastors people who they knew what thieves they were. How Do you take as a shepherd someone who you know is a thief?
In truth, many times I told myself "people have no limits to idiocy." But the truth is that, although some are indeed deceived, others are not idiots, but rather that those shepherds give them what their flesh needs. They make them feel comfortable and loved, they give them leadership; everything that people like.
At this moment I remember a girl whose wonderful pastor put her as a counselor in the church and she herself was in adultery. Another woman told the pastor that she was not going to continue congregating and the pastor offered her leadership so that she would not leave.
I knew a pastor who decided to pervert the true gospel and start preaching everything people wanted so that people would not leave him and he would not be "in shame."
The truth is that today it is an act of supernatural courage and rebellion to be a biblical pastor who says like Jesus: "Do you want to leave too?" John 6:67 Pastors who would rather be left alone than pervert the gospel to have their churches full. For them all my respect, for them a big hug.
And perhaps these words will not change the reality that you are living, but I tell you that although here on earth no one loves you and calls you "failures" and fools for not perverting the gospel to have more people in the church, I tell you that You in heaven are all celebrities.
A hug, I am Professor Bubba
