WOMEN PASTORS - MY OPINION
hahahaha good morning.
It is a delicate issue that has many people fighting.
First of all I want to clarify that the Bible is not sexist, the apostle Paul exhorts men to treat women with great care, in the Bible there are women like Debora who were braver than men and in the case of Deborah she was Judge , which was a high position where he had to judge all the people. God is not sexist.
The problem comes with the verses that appear in the video, the apostle Paul says that HE does not allow the woman to teach the man and elsewhere he says that women should be silent in the churches. 1 Timothy 2:11
Interesting that the guy says in the video: "God does not allow" when the apostle Paul clarifies that it is he (the apostle Paul) who puts this law in the church. And this man repeats that "God" sees a woman preaching as something shameful. The Bible never says that.
It is the apostle Paul who made that law and according to historians he was referring to specific churches where women were too "empowered" and subjugated men. Let us remember that Paul's epistles are letters that Paul sent to certain particular churches.
Then these letters were made known to all churches and then when the "meeting" (the council) was held to decide what books the Bible would have (the canon) all these letters were added.
In the church even in Paul's time there were many female preachers "who taught everyone." Jesus never put women in second place.
Now where do the problems come? First, God is not sexist, but many Christians are, and today anyone can take any Bible verse, take it out of its context and use it however they want.
The other problem is that there are many women who like to subdue men (such as those for whom the apostle Paul addressed the letter) who want to take the place that God gave to man as head and be the ones in charge. And that's what God said: "Man is the head" (But if the head is bad, you should not follow a damaged head)
One of the things that makes this more difficult is that "pastors" have come out and what they are is "feminists" so in their churches all the women govern the men.
I have seen many sermons from this type of pastor and Wow! Pure feminism!
You will know if a preacher is from God (in the same way as you would know if any pastor is from God) if the center of her preaching is Christ. Whether a preacher is a man or a woman, the center of the preaching is not Christ, in a false way. Even if you have a church with a hundred thousand people.
To finish, I continue to listen to arguments, I have not made a decision. But I have seen how in churches where women are pastors, how women are empowered and men are secondary. But the truth is that the arguments that guy gives are not correct because they are verses taken out of place.
But what I am sure of biblically is that women CAN TEACH MEN, as I said, that verse is out of place, because it would be a contradiction of what they themselves did. Someone might have asked Paul, "Don't you say that a woman cannot teach a man, but you have women preachers who teach men?"
FINALLY, WOMEN CAN TEACH MAN ABOUT BEING A PASTOR OR NOT, I STILL HEAR ARGUMENTS.
