THE REALITY OF TRUE SPIRITUAL GROWTH

A few years ago I told some people:

"My life has been a life given to God.

  • While you were playing with your friends I was with God.
  • While others had their first girlfriend I was with God.
  • While others went to the beach I was with God.
  • While others went to the movies I was with God.
  • While others enjoyed themselves with their families I was with God."

I recently returned from spending 9 horrendous years of going through all kinds of need, humiliation, suffering. While others ate fried chicken and all kinds of food, most of the time my only meal all day was A MANGO!

I complained a lot about that to God. Until I got here I realized that my level of spiritual and ministerial growth was a hundred times greater than the people you have here in the church as leaders, elders and deacons.

Many will say it is by grace, God is the one who places leaders. Those of us who know these things closely know that in today's church leadership is not chosen by the Holy Spirit as in the early church. The truth is that today pastors choose leaders according to their fidelity to them and not to God. That is the truth of today's corrupt church.

Look at any leader in your church and make a checklist with the biblical requirements to be a leader, first of all the filling of the Holy Spirit. No one meets it.

God has no favorites and those who give the most are those who have failed the most or are going to fail the most.

I am not proud of anything because it has been too horrible.

I see what others do not see, understanding what others do not understand, but the price has been exactly as the apostle Paul described it.

The price of growth has been being "the scum of the world" and even "the scum of the church"

Endless times of "hunger, need, humiliation, mistreatment by Christians and non-Christians and suffering of all kinds, forms of pain that I have never experienced before in my life" and even now I am in great need.

And having to put up with people who have not paid any kind of price feeling superior.

Do you really want to have more? then you are going to have to give it all up. Jesus said "You are going to have to despise your own life"

Obviously there is an easy way, the way of pretending, pretending about the spirit and since most Christians are blind, you will be able to fool many.

But if you want to do it the right way be prepared to be broken over and over and over again and when you think you can't be broken anymore, you will be broken again.

This is how God forms the genuine ones, imitations are formed more easily, I have seen leaders who only have to flatter their pastors enough and they have their leadership, but I do not speak of leadership, I speak of growth, maturity and being known in heaven and hell.

Most of the close leaders I know are recognized in hell for being on their staff, others in heaven the angels ask God "Do you know this guy who keeps saying he is your son?" and God answers "I have no idea who that is!"

And about me? How do I think the conversation in heaven will be about me?

I imagine something like this:

Angels: Lord almighty, we want to ask you with all fear and humility if you think that what you have put Domingo through has been too much.

God: Nope, don't worry, he is almost ready.

Angels: But he has been behind you all his life, don't you think there have been too many years of tribulation?

God: Nope, don't worry, it's almost ready.

I'M NOT MENTIONING IT'S DUE TO WORKS, I'M TALKING ABOUT THE COST OF SPIRITUAL GROWTH AND MATURITY.

And Jesus made it super clear that it was like that.

Kisses
