A few years ago a woman (from the leadership of a church) told me, crying, "Minguito, I'm going to be saved, I'm going to go to heaven..."
Now the context: The context was that she was going to stop condemning sin, heresy, evil... in the church so as not to have problems with anyone and thus save herself.
Her words, her broken voice, and the tears in her eyes denoted deep sincerity.
Now, let's analyze everything cold. First, not everything said sincerely necessarily has to be correct; I could say with all the sincerity of my soul that the clouds are made of cheese, but the evidence shows that they are not.
In other words, without evidence, words, no matter how sincere they may be, only have the value of a personal opinion.
Second, if we think that we are going to be saved by not having problems with anyone because of correcting and denouncing what is bad, then we would have to hold it as true that John the Baptist was not saved because he criticized the guy who lived with his brother's wife.
We would have to take it as true that Stephen was not saved because they killed him because they were singing the sins to the people.
We would still have to assume that Jesus was not saved because Jesus fought with everyone and said "but they hate me, because I make it clear that what they do is evil" (John 7:7)
The truth is that every man of God who has ever existed, absolutely everyone, even the most calm ones like Müller, have condemned and attacked sin, evil and heresy.
Paul himself at one point had to rebuke the apostle Peter IN PUBLIC (Galatians 2:11-14) In public NOOO Heresy!
-Yes, against all the leadership and coaching classes that you have received in your life, and against all the preaching of progressive pastors, Jesus and the apostles several times found themselves in the need to correct in public. (This should not be taken as an apology for abuse, there were specific moments when people were rebellious beyond measure) -
Returning to the topic, also in Acts 18:28 Apollos is praised because he "with great vehemence publicly refuted the Jews"
The Bible commands us in Ephesians 5:11 to bring to light, (in another version it says to rebuke) every work of evil.
I have seen that sometimes what seems like wisdom is cowardice. And if you feel fed up with so many problems, you don't know how many insults I have received live and through Facebook for the publications I make and the things I say.
Without family of any kind, without friends, the people I am close to seem like they are only there to attack me and the truth has also made me want to stay calm, but I am not the son of laziness but of a lion.
I once believed that as you get older you get tired of it, but I looked at these men of God like Wilkerson, Washer, Macarthur... they are getting older and still fight for the truth like when they were young.
Sometimes when I feel like I'm getting tired of the mistreatment I just remember a video I have somewhere of David Wilkerson, 80 years old and still attacking heresy, still facing evil, and that makes me raise my voice again.
I have said several times that, if I am not going to continue speaking the truth and condemning evil for fear of insults, mistreatment or losing someone, I would not deserve to go to the same heaven where Stephen, John the Baptist, the prophets (whose main job was that) and thousands of Christians who have suffered all kinds of sorrows for exposing error and defending the truth.
He certainly wouldn't deserve to go to the same heaven as them. Apart from that it would be a demonstration of cowardice. And the Bible says that cowards will go to hell (Revelation 21:8)
I know how painful it is, I know how horrible it is, the abuse, the loneliness, the humiliation, not having absolutely anyone to even tell one of my horrible jokes because everyone is an enemy or they are like Christmas lights (think a little ) but I prefer all that suffering and loneliness to being a coward.
Besides, I feel part of the group of all those thousands who have suffered for the truth and for opposing evil.
Imagine that although I am a thousand times worse, in heaven I am in the same group as Spurgeon, Stephen, Wilkerson, Washer, Edwards, John the Baptist and that the angels wonder: “And is that one with a thousand flaws one of that group?” ?” And another angel answers, “It seems so because he has the marks of suffering.”
Thinking about all that excites me 😊
In conclusion, there is no biblical or historical record that one is saved by being calm, but there are records that God can admonish those who tolerate evil (Revelation 2:20) (Isaiah 30:15 It does not refer to that so don't want to hold on to that hot nail)
The sister I spoke of at the beginning went so far in not attacking evil that she began to cover up sins and defend every sinner and every heretical practice and she became a defender of libertines...
You know, now no one hates her, everyone respects her, loves her, gives her gifts. She is an example of leadership, they invite her to preach to other churches and even if they don't believe it, there are some who even idolize her. But I don't change the group I belong to because of what she got. They can't buy me, the price is too high!
Kisses, I am elprofebubba
